The Administration team is responsible for the finance, procurement & contracts, IT, security and the archives & library teams at DTCM. These departments support the various activities of DTCM in enhancing its overall performance to position Dubai as one of the leading tourism destinations of the world. The department is responsible:

For the financial health of DTCM

To ensure that the department implements the requirements of the Government of Dubai’s Law in terms of revenues, budget, and expenditure, and

To put in place procedures that will establish an effective control system for all of DTCM, including the overseas offices for revenues and expenditure and that they can be supported by auditable documentation

The Administration department has a diverse portfolio of activities that has an effect on all the other sections within DTCM. These activities include the shipment of supplies such as promotional materials to its overseas offices, services such as cleaning, office attendants, staff parking, workstation and offices signage, space modification, conferencing, providing periodicals among others. The department thus has a major role to play in customer relations internally and externally through DTCM.

The Procurement & Contracts department is responsible for conducting public and limited tender openings, evaluating and awarding tenders and administering contracts in coordination with the requesting department / section, other relevant teams and in accordance with the provisions of law. In executing these duties, the department seeks to realize the maximum value for money spent through the use of sound purchasing and business practices.

The Information Technology (IT) team provides the various support and development functions, which include: procure, install and maintain the IT infrastructure in the DTCM's Head Office and Dubai Sites; provide IT know-how and expertise for equipping the DTCM's Overseas Offices; ensure that the electronic presence of the DTCM is maintained through regular upkeep of the software and hardware that broadcast the Department's presence on the Internet; carry out continuous research on new and upcoming IT related technologies to ensure that the Department is always ahead in the IT race and maintains pace with Dubai's e-Government initiatives; provide user support and assistance to ensure that staff can carry out their designated activities efficiently; provide electronic security to ensure that no data is lost either through malicious activities or inadvertently; provide analysis of processes to recommend the automation of various activities

The Security department is charged with the responsibility of maintaining the security at all DTCM’s cultural and heritage sites.

The Archives & Library division is responsible for the records and information management systems at DTCM. The division's Document Management System helps to maintain workflow and increase efficiency. It has been instrumental in maintaining records of all the activities of DTCM internally and its overseas offices. The DTCM Library is a part of the Archives & Library division. The Library offers a borrowing service to its employees in Dubai. It has also established memberships with other libraries like the Dubai Public Library
